June 19, 2022 – Akupara Games is delighted to announce their collaboration with SquareHusky on their relaxing, farming-sim adventure, Everafter Falls. Rediscover the simple life while you farm, fish, forge, and fight to restore peace in a cosy, comedic adventure.

Featuring split-screen co-op, self-servicing drones, resource-harvesting pixies, a card-eating progression system, an adorable pet companion, dangerous dungeons to explore and much more! Everafter Falls is projected to launch in 2024 for PC platforms.

I know I’m late to this. June is very much two months ago but I only recently started writing about press releases and also, my e-mails have been in a constant state of chaos for quite a while now… which means at some point, I will just hit “delete” on all of them to “restore” order… and until then, I’ll try to cover as many things as possible, haha.

Anyhow, Akupara Games is an amazing indie game publisher based in Los Angeles that uses extensive knowledge and experience in development to support their developers through an involved and personalized pipeline, bringing games to communities of players who are looking for an enveloping experience.

Their vision is “to help bring stories to life” and to “usher in the next line of gaming classics”, and that’s incredibly cool.

I’m a huge fan of theirs.

I loved Grime, Behind The Frame, Mutazione, and Rain World… and I’m incredibly excited for Airframe Ultra, Cryptmaster, Universe for Sale, and Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles to come out, hopefully soon. Everafter Falls is another title that I’m really looking forward to.

As you may be able to tell, I’ve written about a fair few games published by them… and I didn’t even mention how they’ve teamed up with Fellow Traveller, Neon Doctrine, Raw Fury, Those Awesome Guys, Toge Productions and White Thorn Games to create The Indie Houses – which is all about working together for a common cause in a market dominated by players bigger than themselves.

The Indie Houses do a lot to support the wider indie developer community and also have done some charity streams in the past, as well as a Steam event back in 2021.

Anyhow, so, Everafter Falls is a game that is now under Akupara Games’ umbrella, too, and I frankly haven’t heard about it just yet until now… and I regret that.

The dev studio SquareHusky which was founded by a self-taught imaginative creator and an experienced musical artist, who are now working together on this Eveafter Falls, is relatively new in the community and well,… they appear to have a relatively polished game with many, many layers in the works.

The trailer for Everafter Falls looks astonishing! It showcases the art style really well, the adorable animations, the colourful palette, as well as many different aspects of the core gameplay loop, not to mention the existence of a storyline of sorts – which is relatively rare for Life Sims.

It’s projected to launch for PC platforms in 2024, and it’s essentially a relaxing farming-sim adventure where you rediscover life while you farm, fish, forge, and fight to restore the peace in a cosy, comedic adventure, featuring split-screen co-op, self-servicing drones, resource-harvesting pixies, a card-eating progression system, an adorable pet companion, dangerous dungeons to explore, and much, much, much more!

Holy shit. I want this game right now. If you also wanna check it out for yourself beyond what I’ve already mentioned, please go visit the Steam Page and maybe give it a wishlist if you haven’t already!
