Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has received a brand new trailer that features the epic team-up of Godzilla and Kong against a new terrifying threat led by an evil, Kong-type villain.
The trailer begins with a voice saying we thought life could only exist on the surface of our planet. As Godzilla vs. Kong showed us, they were very wrong. However, there is so much more the people of the Monsterverse weren’t aware of, as a new empire is aiming to rise and threaten everything we hold dear.
Luckily, Godzilla and Kong will be working together to stop this threat and we get a good look at some of their adventure in this trailer that will take us deep within the Earth and back on its surface. We also see Godzilla with a new glowing pink spikes and Kong with a mechanical arm.
“The epic battle continues!” the official description of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire reads. “Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse follows up the explosive showdown of ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ with an all-new adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own.
“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

“We wanted to come up with an antagonist that would both be a match for Kong and Godzilla, and that’s really hard to do,” he said. “There’s a lot more to this character and how he’s a threat, and that’s going to be something that’s going to be fun to kind of dole out.”
