I remember watching a video a while back about a (I think it is a collectible) card game that had some really strange and interesting mechanics. I can’t find the video anymore so I was wondering if somebody knows what the game is called. In the video, some MTG or Yu-gi-oh player – can’t remember which one – that hasn’t played the game was shown cards and had to take a guess how good they are. Here’s what I remember about the cards shown:
- One of the cards was called something like ‘christmas gift’, or at least that was the theme of the card, and I remember it getting a bonus effect if you play the card in december. Something like ‘Draw an extra card if it is currently december.’
- For another card you could choose to do an evil laugh while playing it, and if you do, it also gains some bonus effect.
There isn’t much more I remember, just that it had some really odd mechanics that you wouldn’t see in other games. Does anybody know what it’s called?
Could this be Holiday Fluxx? Those kind of things sound like the wacky rules modification cards that exist in Fluxx games.
