Hey itchy people! Let’s get real for a second: part of why we love itch.io is the huge breadth of content you can find on the site. Want an opera about dogs? We’ve got that. Looking for game assets to create your next hit? We’ve got that. Do you need an erotic fan game of last year’s best anime? Don’t tell my mom but we’ve got that too. We know this can get a little intimidating so each week we’ll unearth some of our favorite games to help you out. Think of it like a life-preserver on the ocean of awesome content. Yeah, you’re welcome.
Let’s get into it:
Alright gang, in keeping with our theme of honesty I need to get something off my chest. I’m bad at Cosmic Express. I’m not talking cute and funny bad, I mean devastatingly bad and yet I still love the game. If you need a puzzler to test your limits, Cosmic Express is there for you. Made by the beautiful monsters behind the equally difficult Sokobond and A Good Snowman is Hard to Build, this is definitely one to pick up.
The future of dating is here and it’s not Tinder, Grindr, or even Okcupid — It’s murder! That’s right, in Date or Die all it takes to find true love is ceasing another person’s existence! Handy!
Bad news: Date or Die won’t be out for a while.
Good news: the game’s developer Arden has taken pity on us and released a playable prologue. Check it out now!
Ok, so maybe you don’t like thinking or finding love (what kind of person are you?). Well give me one more chance to wow you: post-apocalyptic biker combat. Dave Lloyd (half of Crawl developer Powerhoof) has released the awesome Riders of Rhea. Blow up rival bikers in a wasteland with nothing to help you but your motorcycle and your guns. Not sold yet? It’s pay what you want, so you can have a blast (get it) without breaking the bank.
