But that’s ok I am enjoying the journey

I’ve been making this game for couple of years now, and I am already way beyond the amount of time I wanted to put into it.
I say I but my other half has been helping out as well. She makes the Cat profiles, and Sprites and most of the plant textures.
The game is about Cocoa the cat who gets lost and ends up living with a colony of cats in the forest. He quickly gets pulled into an adventure to save the cat colonies.
There are loads of characters to converse with
Lots of enemies to fight
and loads of areas to explore…
Ok so where am I at with this game….
Maybe 50% complete but its so hard to say, Today I just finished a large rewrite of the code, fixed up a lot of the first areas for the demo, I even removed a couple of areas(The new demo will go live on Friday if you want to check it out)
The reason for the rewrite was that when I first started the game I had no idea what direction I was going, my initial thought was a cross between Stardew and fantasy life and so I had a lot of code for characters moving from area to area at different times of the day and different places for each day ect and it was a lot of messy unused code.
I also did try adding a leveling system at one point and there was left over remnants of that code in there.
But I’m happy with the last couple of weeks work rewriting the systems. Things are much nicer than they were before and a lot of systems are tidier and should make programming the next sections easier(So in conclusion plan better, don’t be like me)
I have a page on steam(wishlists welcome
