Smash Hyper Drive

Description

Smash Hyper Drive is a Top Down Shooter game of the likes of Smash TV and Xeno Crisis. In this game you play as the protagonist who is looking forward to going on vacation with his family starting this weekend. As you are drinking your morning coffee, a news update comes up on the TV, “MegaCorp has gone defunct and CEO claims he will not be paying the last paycheck to his ex-employees.” In a fit of rage you “Got to get paid.” You hop into your pickup truck and smash it right into the CEOs parked sports car at MegaCorp.

From there you go room by room floor by floor hunting down the CEO to get your last paycheck. As your rise up the corporate skyscraper, you find more and more oddities. Bringing more questions and eventually a burning desire to get paid even more.

Mechanics

The game will have a top down perspective like Smash TV. The controls will be WASD to move and Arrow keys to shoot. You will receive upgrades along the way including but not limited to dash and shield.

There will also, be periodic upgrade crates that require card keys to open.

The player will be exposed to various enemies, weapons, powerups, and more.

Graphics
Graphics are being worked and most of the art currently is just placeholder programmer art. The graphics will be 2D pixel art.
